Notice to clients and prospective clients:
Under the law, health care providers need to give clients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service, or at any time during treatment. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, or how to dispute a bill, see your Estimate, or visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
Therapist
Angela G. P. Robert, EdD, LPC
Hello, I'm Angela, a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 30 years of experience in the mental health and counseling field. My journey in this profession is deeply rooted in my academic background, which includes a Doctorate of Education in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University, a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from Radford University, and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Hampton University. Each step of my educational path has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to support you on your mental wellness journey.
I specialize in a variety of areas including anxiety, depression, grief and bereavement, military and veteran support, multicultural and diversity issues, PTSD, spirituality, stress, and trauma. My clinical interests extend to the mind-body connection, culture and identity development, family dynamics, mood disorders, transgender and non-binary affirming healthcare access, life transitions, crisis intervention, trauma, and abuse.
As a woman of faith and a minister, I draw inspiration from the scripture: "I will give thanks and praise to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: Wonderful are Your works, and my soul knows it very well" (Psalm 139:14). This belief in the inherent worth and beauty of each individual guides my approach to therapy. I also cherish the anonymous quote: "If you are more fortunate than others, build a longer table and not a taller fence." This sentiment reflects my commitment to inclusivity and support for all who seek help.
My goal is to create a safe, compassionate, and supportive environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings, and work towards healing and growth. If you feel that I might be the right fit for you, please don't hesitate to reach out. I am looking forward to working with you and supporting you on your path to mental wellness.
